Your full healing time is 14 days! Your lips will swell and can feel tender in the first 5 -7 days. Do not worry about feeling your lips are too big, swelling can be excessive, they will go down.
Sleeping on an elevated pillow can help will the swell as they swell most in the morning.
Expect to bruise, on the lip and possibly around the lip, these will fade in approximately 3 to 7 days.

If you have been ill recently or/and received vaccines, this can contribute to excessive swelling of the lips in the hours after treatment. If your swelling is more than usual or feels uncomfortable, taking an antihistamine can help relieve, please contact the clinic for our advice.
If you suffer from cold sores, it is advisable to take Lysine supplements for 21 days post treatment (available in Pharmacies and Health Shops). Lip Injections can evoke and activate the herpes simplex virus (coldsores), taking Lysine supplements can help prevent this or lessen the symptoms if they do present post treatment.
After 5 days , you can then press any firm areas or bumps to help them soften. To do this, pinch your lip between your thumb and index finger, press very firmly for 3 seconds and release. Repeat this all over the lips for 2 minutes, do not pull your lips repeatedly outwards, this can cause migration, press firmly in the one place at a time, not in different directions.
You have had multiple injections so please, treat this like a wound by making sure to keep your lip area very clean, i.e Do not use unopened / old balms or lipsticks, drink from clean glasses / bottles on the day. Any balm you use must be sterile / brand new.
